Karlovy Vary is a city located in Czech in a distance of 2-3 hours from Prague known for its thermal baths and is ideal for those who want to combine holidays with health and well-being.
Tip: We had taken the bus (one-day excursion), but you can choose to rent a car if you want to stay. However, it is essential to know that transport is not permitted in the city. So, you have to park in a place just outside the center where a small bus will be waiting to transfer you.
What are you going to do in this town?
Just relax, get some rest, and put yourself in the hands of specialists for various healing choices. Treatment can last from 1 week up to 3 months, depending on the severity of health issues. It is worth to note that if you choose the baths, you will be examined by a doctor who will instruct you the appropriate healing source for your treatment.
We, also suggest you visit the Water Museum (outside of it, is the largest source of the thermal waters, Vridlo) where you are allowed to taste the healing waters. We did not like them very much, but it is worth the experience.
Karlovy Vary is an ideal place for shopping, so if you’re a fashion enthusiast, you’ll have a lot of options. Leave some space in your suitcase for the precious stones–jewelry energy and longevity for which the city is famous. And, if they do not stand up to the expectations, you will add a piece of a beautiful jewelry in your collection. You will also find the original Bohemian crystals, an excellent idea for your home and gifts to your beloved ones.
Tip: we recommend you combine this destination with Prague since it gives extra experience and beauty to your journey. According to the locals, the best time to go is in July – August, which is the peak tourist period.
So, are we off to the thermal baths?
