Crete – The largest island in Greece – A rare natural beauty that drives you crazy from the very beginning!
Crete is one of the largest islands in Greece, with countless activities and attractions to see for fantastic holidays.
We went many times, and we want to share with you what is necessary to see and do:
1st stop: Malia
A village that was shaped in such a way to attract young people who seek absolute fun and madness. It has a very big street called the Malia Bar Strip, which is full of bars and nightclubs which stay open until the early hours in the morning.
Tip: In Malia, a part of the area still retains its traditional form, and there you will find taverns and traditional restaurants serving Greek delicacies with the background of live traditional music.
2nd stop: Stalis
You will find this place at a distance of 3km from Malia. Stalis has a lovely beach and several beach bars/restaurants in which you can enjoy amazing food or great cocktails.
3rd stop: Hersonissos
Hersonissos is a coastal area that is considered one of the best tourist resorts in Crete. There, you’ll find everything! From gourmet restaurants to traditional fish taverns next to the sea. You will also find hundreds of tourist shops, bars, cafes, and everything else you can imagine. (15 km from Malia)
4th stop: Agios Nikolaos
A visit to Agios Nikolaos is a MUST! In Agios Nikolaos, you will see a lake penetrating between the city and joining the awe-inspiring sea. We suggest to you to eat fish there as it is famous for its excellent fish taverns.
5th stop: Heraklion
The capital of Crete, where there are countless things to do. Shopping, coffee, good food, and more. You will find them all gathered around Eleftherios Venizelos Square.
Tip: If you have spare time, it would be nice to visit the famous Aquarium of Crete called CretAquarium – Thalassokosmos. It is a wonderful place that even if you don’t like marine species, it will enchant you.
