Summer is here, and the summer mood drives you to find the next destination that will create another unforgettable and enjoyable summer.    Others are looking for destinations that will offer them knowledge and fun, and others that will offer them only one: rest.  The Travel Le Monde team, recommends you 5 low budget destinations in Greece, that will offer you only what you need to fill your batteries.

Crete – Malia

malia coverAt a distance of about 30-40 minutes from Crete, a beautiful area is offered to thousands of tourists during the summer months.  Malia, as it is called, is considered an economic destination and is offered mainly to young people.  On the one side, the old town with the beautiful taverns and Greek music and on the other side the beachfront full of club and beach bars, offer a destination of relaxation, and fun.  In the area, there are several beaches (Malia Coast, Stalis Beach, and Malia Bay) where you can spend your day and various activities such as karts (KartLand) and safaris.  You can also visit the Palace of Malia if you are a history fan.

Kavos – Corfu

kavos webKavos is located about 45 kilometers from Corfu Town, and during the last years, it has become a favourite destination for the youngsters, especially for the English tourists.  In Kavos beach, you will find everything you need to have a great summer vacation.  Water sports and activities such as football, tennis, volleyball, or even bungee jumping are ready to offer you great times. In the evening, you have the opportunity to experience the nightlife that is offered in the clubs and bars of the area.

Laganas – Zante

laganas 29 kilometers from Zante you will find the tourist resort of Laganas where it is still considered an economical destination.  Sun, sea, and fun create the perfect recipe for a few summer vacations away from the daily routine.  You can arrange your stay in one of the many hotels or apartments available in the area or even live the camping experience if you are fond of nature.  On the main road, you will find various restaurants offering Greek and international cuisine in combination with Greek music.    During the day, you can rest at the organized beach of the area and try your diving skills, or you can do your shopping in the stores of the resort.  Laganas is one of the most popular places for nightlife, and so you can visit the various bars in the area, playing even entertainment games.

Mylopotas – Ios

mylopotas webAnother beautiful area is located in Ios Island.  This area, Mylopotas, is low budget, and during the summer season, many young foreign tourists visit it, enjoying the sea and the fun.  In the long beach area, you can spend your day playing in the blue waters or reading your book under the Umbrellas.  Within walking distance from the beach (40 meters), there are restaurants where you can enjoy great food recipes and cocktails.  In the evening, we recommend you visit the bars where you will have a great time with DJs’ music choices.

Halkidiki

halkidiki webLooking at the photos of Halkidiki, you will see a place beautiful and magical with emerald waters and golden sand.  Halkidiki is located in Thessaloniki and has 3 peninsulas or else known as “3 feet”: Kassandra, Sithonia, and Athos.  On the peninsula of Athos, women are not allowed since the monastery of “Ayios Oros” is only for men.   On the peninsula of Kassandra, you will live an intense nightlife while in Sithonia the tranquility and relaxation in the exotic beaches (Kavourotripes, Agios Mamas, Sani).  You will also find archaeological sites and caves, nature trails, cycling routes, and water sports, offering you a range of activities to fill your time.  Also, boats are waiting to transfer you to nearby islands that are worth a visit.  Lastly, many restaurants are ready to offer you the best Greek cuisine.
